When school is in session, more than 60,000 elementary students in Lee and Collier counties receive free breakfast and lunch. But what do they all eat over the weekend?

This is where Blessings in a Backpack of Southwest Florida comes in. Every Friday we are able to send home more than 3,000 students’ breakfast, lunch and snack food to get them through the weekend. That way, on Monday they return to school ready to learn and not with empty bellies.

Forced to stretch their budgets to the very max, many families make costly sacrifices like going without food. We have thousands of students waiting for our services and we need your help!

$175 feeds one child four meals every weekend for 38 weeks! That is more than 152 meals for the entire school year! We need more businesses in our area to help support our growing need of feeding an additional 1,000 children this year.
